English Holiday Advertisement Perfectly Captures The Meaning Of Christmas

If you ask me, one of the best parts of the Christmas season is watching the retailers pull out all the stops to bring the spirit of the season to everyone around them!

Thats why I love going to see the store windows all lit up, and planning the most festive route for my holiday shopping! But above all, theres one retail tradition that I wait for breathlessly every year.

Thats right, the annual parade of holiday-themed Christmas advertisements. I loved the sweet SC Johnson commercial that brought folks home for Thanksgiving this year, but I was pretty sure that nothing could top John Lewis sweet ad from 2014, which pairs up a perfect duo of penguins.

Well, turns out that I was way off the mark, because this years commercial is truly a tear-jerker! John Lewis, which is a department store in Britain, really brought their A-game this year, chronicling the lonely holiday season of the Man on the Moon.

The imaginative story follows a little girl who looks up to outer space in her telescope, and spots some strange activity on the moon. Theres an elderly man up there, with a cottage and a bench, but no friends.

Well, come Christmastime, she comes up with a perfect Christmas gift for the lonely, faraway Christmas-timeman. Check out the ad below, but make sure to keep the tissues handy!
